The aim of this website is to provide a general and non biased review of The Goodwood Park Hotel in Singapore. The review was based on a personal experience during my last stay at this luxury hotel, as well, further research was conducted by researching into REAL Customer Feed-backs who have stayed at the Goodwood Park Hotel.

The Goodwood Park Hotel Singapore is 5 star luxury hotel - a heritage hotel with building designs dating back to the 1900s, and till today, retains her original beauty. It has a warm and inviting atmosphere.
The hotel is well located in the middle of the shopping and entertainment center of Orchard and Scotts Roads, and within the business area of Shenton Way. In fact, it is only right next door to the Fat East Plaza Shopping Center.
Being in such a convenient location, public transportation is everywhere from air conditioned buses to the MRT train station.
From where the hotel is, it is just a seven minute stroll to C.K Tangs and Orchard MRT Station, which is linked to other big shopping centers like Ngee Ann City, Paragon, Wisma Atria, Istana, Centrepoint, and Hereen.

This luxury hotel is 3 story high and has 233 rooms, and boasts great room amenities, such as cable television and wireless Internet access. And like any other 5 Star luxury hotel, the Goodwood Park Hotel Singapore offers convenience in dining and relaxation.
Guests can relax with a variety of beauty or spa services, 6 on site dining restaurants and bar (Cafe L'Espresso,Coffee Lounge,Gordon Grill,Deli,Min Jiang,Min Jiang at One North), 2 outdoor swimming pools and a fitness center. Other facilities include a business center, a tailor shop and a hair salon.
The Rooms at the GoodWood Park Hotel Singapore are spacious, and spread out in several wings. The rooms comes with the spoils like cable and satellite television, coffee and tea maket, a mini bar and safe.
And depending on which room you are reserved in, you will have views of the outdoor swimming pool or garden.
Verdict on The GoodWood Park Hotel in Singapore
Overall, our experience at The Good Park Hotel in Singapore was enjoyable. What counted highly for us was the centralized location. You could easily just walk out of the hotel, and get onto Orchard road in no time.
And if you are not familiar of Singapore, Orchard Road is the mecca for shopping, food and entertainment. And with the convenience of the MRT, you can travel anywhere - we ventured to Marina Bay, Tiong Bahru Plaza, China Town, City Hall, Vivo City and Bugis Junction. So don't bother wasting money and time catching on the taxi!
The minuses - The Hotel restaurants are average, and I would recommend venturing out as you will get a better value for money, and better dining experience. A few minor room issues:
- I prefer separate showers - you have to shower in a bath tub in this hotel
- TV is not at all impressive for a five-star hotel. But I was rarely in the room to watch it.
- Basic toiletry items such as toothpaste, tooth brush, comb, flat iron are not automatically placed in the room. You will have to request for them
- Wardrobes needs a bit of updating
Let's face it, not every hotel is perfect, and for whatever reason there is, not everyone will enjoy the historic feel of the hotel and the rooms. But we enjoyed our stay - the room was comfortable, stylish, clean and well maintained ... it's comfortable enough to host a little gathering for friends and relatives from Singapore.
The Goodwood Park Hotel Singapore is in a fantastic location, and it is only one of a very small number of colonial architectural treasures Singapore has left.

"This is a large hotel which is well equipped and clean, but is really aimed at commercial customers rather than tourists. Apart from a well shaded pool with only 4 sun loungers, there is no area set aside for hotel residents. Even the chairs by tables in the foyer were set aside for the sale of food to anyone who came into the hotel.
Needless to say the cost of eating in the hotel was sky high and it is fortunate that Orchard Street is close by with its many food halls. "This is our 8th stay at the Goodwood Park and we wouldn't consider staying any place else. Afternoon tea is a special treat, not to be missed. At the lobby deli it's possible to order a light lunch and have it delivered to the lobby bar to enjoy with a favorite drink.
There's also a tailor shop on the way to the Coffee Lounge for breakfast - we've had men's and women's clothes made and been delighted with the results each time. Locals like the hotel, too - there are always wedding receptions, engagement parties, a "Naming Certemony" this last time being held, so the people watching is great!
